This product is made entirely from OEKO-Tex Standard 100 certified pure hemp.

Hemp is the ideal fabric for baby bedding. Boasting similar aesthetic qualities to flax linen, it is a richly textured natural fibre textile and looks ultra-trendy even when left unpressed. It is antibacterial, hypoallergenic, thermoregulating and incredibly durable, which taken together means this linen will keep your baby comfortable, healthy and well-rested for a lifetime.

On top of all that, hemp is an incredibly sustainable crop. It is water saving, pest resistant, fast growing and space efficient as well as improving soil and air quality and promoting biodiversity. At the end of the day, hemp is biodegradable meaning that when your baby wrap reaches the end of its long lifespan, it need not end up in landfill.

All of our products are designed from the home of our founder Kate in the inner northern suburb of Coburg in Melbourne, Australia. Your purchase directly supports Kate and her young family.

Calvi.Co’s range of bed linen and baby bedding is made from premium hemp fibres at our manufacturer in the Shandong province of China. Our products are certified according to OEKO-Tex Standard 100 meaning they are free from harmful chemicals. Our manufacturer has been producing similar products for approximately 15 years and has undertaken an independent amfori BSCI audit as part of its commitment to continually improving working conditions in its supply chain.

    Our bedding range is currently available in standard Australian sizes, Queen, King and Super King.

    Our baby bedding is available in cot and bassinet sizes. Our bassinet sheets are suitable for use as change mat covers.

    All Calvi.Co products are made from pure hemp fabric (the most durable textile fibre available) and are intended to be easy to care for.

    Follow these simple steps to keep your pure hemp sheets in good condition:

    1. Wash separately before first use.

    2. Hand or cold/warm machine wash.

    3. Wash separately or with like colours.

    4. Line dry or use a low heat setting on your dryer.

    5. Iron only if necessary.

    6. Do not soak or bleach.

Wherever possible, we have sourced natural, biodegradable options for all of the non-hemp components in our bedding. There are just a few exceptions (we're working on it, promise):

    - Fitted Sheets contain an elastic edge (not biodegradable)

    - Quilt Covers have coco wood buttons (biodegradable) 

    - Quilted Blankets contain a recycled rayon fibre fill (not biodegradable).
